We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and experienced wellbeing manager to undertake the operational management of our Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion Team. As the Head of Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion you will be reporting to the Academic Registrar to support the strategic vision for the team and contribute to the institution’s wider goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will have significant previous clinical experience but will be looking to further develop their management career. Therefore, the successful candidate should have a degree or equivalent and be professionally trained and registered with an appropriate professional body in their field of specialism. They should also have experience of managing teams, preferably in Higher Education.

Student Wellbeing Advisor

We are seeking an enthusiastic & motivated individual to join our newly established Wellbeing Team providing advice & support to students on a wide range of issues which affect their wellbeing & experience at the university. The Wellbeing Advisor will work closely with other members of the professional services, the Wellbeing Team &, where necessary, with external NHS providers & support bodies.

The successful candidate is expected to deliver an effective & high-quality service & will be required to support positive mental health amongst students through direct work with individual students, support & advice for other staff & liaison with external agencies where appropriate.

You must hold a degree or equivalent, have a background in a mental health related profession (e.g. occupational therapy, social work or nursing) & experience of working in adult mental health. You must have excellent communication skills, & be able to work both independently & as a member of a team.

Our experienced team assists students on a wide range of non-academic issues that affect students whilst at university. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering wellbeing services, managing a large caseload & developing & delivering a range of interventions.

Office Administrator

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised administrator to join our busy department, delivering student support to a very high standard. Duties include dealing with students in a professional and efficient manner, in person and via telephone.

The successful candidate will be educated to undergraduate degree level and ideally have previous experience in an administrative role such as in customer services or as a receptionist. We are looking for candidates who would allow for flexible hours as we run classes through evenings and weekends.

Continued growth in demand for our student-focused courses has led to the opportunity to expand our exceptional delivery team through the addition of a permanent lecturer in Computing.

We are looking for an experienced lecturer with a solid grounding in Computing subject areas such as programming, databases, and operating systems, along with some knowledge and awareness of Business studies such as business information systems.

The successful applicant will be employed to lecture and lead on a range of modules but will initially focus on designing and writing module resources for our Computing course, before starting to teach modules from September 2025. Our ideal candidate will have a wide suite of subject knowledge. The successful candidate will be familiar with managing virtual learning environments, designing assessments, and the development of high-quality learning resources. Above all, the successful candidate will be motivated, inspirational, supportive, with a passion for developing our students. All employees will be required to teach face-to-face at our building on Manchester Science Park initially, and subsequently at our new building in the city centre.
