UOB Manchester is an exciting new higher education provider in the heart of Manchester, with a focus on high quality teaching and assessment, and an inclusive, business-like culture. Research is not a mandated output for our institution. As we expand our range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, we are looking to recruit high-quality, highly-motivated lecturers with a strong background in practice to match their academic qualifications.
We are looking for a senior lecturer in business with utility across a range of key topics, but with a specific focus on Operations and Project Management. The successful candidate will develop and lead the Operations and Project Management module at Level 6. In due course they will also develop and lead additional modules matching their skill-set. Lecturers are also expected to assist students with the development of basic academic skills. We are especially interested in business sector professionals looking to start a new career in higher education. Our ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the business sector and operations/project management in particular. They will be passionate about improving the life-chances of our students and helping them to develop their professional skills.
The successful candidate will work from our building at Manchester Science Park. All staff are required to teach face-to-face, but may occasionally be required to teach online, so familiarity with online delivery, and Zoom in particular, will be an advantage.
Fellowship of the HEA or an undertaking to achieving this will be an advantage. You will be articulate and qualified to a Bachelor’s degree level as a minimum. Master's level education and professional status/accreditation will be an advantage. Candidates must have an unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without caveat.
