The University of Bolton, Manchester (UoB Manchester) is an exciting new higher education provider in the heart of Manchester, with a focus on high quality teaching and assessment, and an inclusive, business-like culture. We are as much a leadership school as a business school. As we launch our range of undergraduate courses, we are looking to recruit high quality, highly motivated lecturers with a strong background in practice to match their academic qualifications.
We are looking for sessional (associate) lecturers in Finance and Accounting with utility across a range of topics, such as Business Planning, Financial Auditing, and Taxation. We are especially interested in those from industry and commerce looking to start a new career in higher education. Our ideal candidates will have deep business knowledge and will be outstanding lecturers. They will be passionate about improving the life-chances of our students and have a deep interest in their specialisms.
Successful candidates will work from our building at Manchester Science Park. All staff are required to teach face-to-face, but may occasionally be required to teach online, so familiarity with online delivery, and Zoom in particular, will be an advantage.
Salaries are competitive and based on candidates' qualifications, experience, and utility. Sessional staff work on a fixed term contract, offered each trimester. ACCA membership would be beneficial. Fellowship of the HEA or an undertaking to achieving this is desirable. You will be qualified to Bachelor’s degree level as a minimum. Candidates must have an unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
